Trust the Timing of Life

August 14, 2018 by Maika Janat-Vennemann Leave a Comment

Why is August 14, 2018, a special day? Because it’s the day I woke up and my book, Go. See. Do. became available for pre-order on Amazon. For a first-time author, this is a big deal. Let me set the scene for you.

It was Tuesday morning. My better half was traveling, and our daughter Lucy decided to get up early. I guess she knew it would be an important day. So, we had breakfast, and I called the plumber because we had no hot water in the house. I tried but couldn’t fix the problem the night before.

After I dropped Lucy off at her beloved day care, I returned home to work.

I was feeling pretty good about the schedule and strategy of my book launch. I had scheduled meetings with social media and book marketing experts later in the week, and the physical copies of the book were on track to arrive early next week. Overall, I had it all under control. I planned to work on the online shop to figure out the packaging and shipping details but thought I’d amuse myself and type in my book title in the Amazon search function. BOOM! There it was:

https://www.amazon.com/GO-SEE-DO-Changing-Quotes-Successful-Professional/dp/154394292X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1534262138&sr=8-1&keywords=Go.See.Do.+Maika+Janat

I paused for a moment and thought, Already? This doesn’t fit my schedule! But before I could get upset, I realized this is another situation where I must TRUST THE TIMING OF LIFE and just GO WITH THE FLOW.

So, because Go. See. Do. is now available for pre-order, here are the answers to the questions I’ve been asked over the last few weeks:

  • Are you selling exclusively on Amazon and Barnes Noble?

No, I am currently working on my own online shop which will have MORE PRODUCTS and SPECIALS than Amazon. (They will only be selling the printed copy). That’s the plan for now. Everything else is up in the air, so we will see ;-).

  • Will there be an e-book as well?

YES, there will also be an e-book version – available in my shop and on bookshop. The link will follow.

  • What’s the fastest option to get your book these days?

The fastest option will be to order via my online shop www.mjvonline.com/shop/

as of next week or send an email to maikajanat@web.de today to pre-order your autographed copy.

  • Will there be a book-launch party?

Yes, there will be a book launch party in Portland, Oregon pretty soon. I am also planning on doing one in Germany around September 10th. Dates will be released soon. Be sure to mark them on your calendar.

  • Will your book be translated to German or other languages?

Well, maybe 😉 For now it’s in English, and I encourage you to just try and read it. So far, all my advanced readers have indicated it is very easy to read.

  • How can YOU support me?

SHARE! SHARE! SHARE !! And, please leave reviews on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

In addition, GIVE ME FEEDBACK. Tell me what you think, what you like and what you don’t like about the book and ask me any questions about the process and the next steps ;-).

Go.See.Do. and have a great day.

Cheers,

Maika
