Berlin is always a good idea. What else is new 😉
There is never enough time to do it all #toobad but please see below for some food-insiders in Berlin City West:
Set is a super cute place to brunch, lunch, snack or dine. The owner’s concept is to serve their favorite food and as well as items they would love to order when eating out. One of their signature items are the different kind of spreads. They serve them in little bell jars with freshly baked organic bread. Besides that, their menu consists of a large variety of paleo dishes as well as gluten-free, vegan options or just a classic omelet with bacon.
It’s perfect to either stop by for a quick snack and a coffee or spend a couple of hours having brunch with friends.
Everything they serve is homemade. Vintage furniture, fresh-cut flowers on every table and the smell of fresh-baked crumbles everywhere might describe the atmosphere best. No matter if you feel like a classic German breakfast charcuterie and cheese board plate with croissants and maybe a soft-boiled egg, a yummy salad for lunch or something more like grandma’s signature recipes this is the place to be. I think they serve the best cake and crumbles in town. While the inside is tiny and cozy, the outdoor seating is perfect for people watching, a homemade ice tea after a little bike ride or coffee&cake with your besties.
Call it an institution in Berlin City West. The classic Italian place uses fresh, local ingredients only for their Italian dishes. You can tell their story, legacy and tradition by their red and white plaid table clothes, the white napkins and of course their extensive antipasti and dessert selection.
I recommend sharing dishes or order family style. That way you get to try more food and it totally fits the la famlia style of the restaurant. Depending on what your expectations are you can either enjoy an evening dining experience or your just stop by for a pizza baked in the wood oven for lunch. It’s totally up to you, be insured that prosecco can and will be served all day. Ciao!
